Timing contractions

Grateful for some advice. When do you start timing contractions? Is it as soon as you start to feel them until they disappear entirely or is it only the peak that you time? Thank you!

Start timing from as soon as you notice the contraction starting to build, and stop when it’s faded completely. Then start again when the next one begins to build. The length of time between the first one starting and the second starting is the frequency, and the length of time of each contraction is self explanatory Grin

You can get an app on your phone to record and time them - then you just hit a button when a contraction starts to build and hit the button again when it's over.
Made things nice and simple when I was concentrating on staying calm and breathing.
