Were you emotional before labour?

Did anyone get very emotional before labour started? I feel ridiculously tearful for no real reason Sad I’ve got constant backache and have had BH’s fairly regularly since Saturday. I’m only 36w though so it’s unlikely to be the real deal for me, just maybe pre-labour or just my body playing tricks!

I don't know about it being a sign of labour but I have been super-tearful since 36 weeks (now 38+6), and have burst into tears at:
-the sun
-DP making me a cup of tea
-folding baby clothes
-literally everything?

Putting it down to hormones because nothing in my body seems to suggest I'm EVER going into labour (which also makes me tearful!!)

No. I felt fine even when I was (unbeknownst to me) in early labour at 40+0.

Oh dear, burritofan. Sounds like it’s just a sign of things to come!

Not particularly. I was just knackered and wanted pregnancy over with by that stage. I was tearful about how DC1 would feel about the arrival of DC2 and would I love DC2 in the same way etc

They’re not particularly “sad” tears - just tears! I’m welling up all over the place for literally no reason 😂

chipperchop, yes, I'm not sad, I'm just like... "OMG it's raining... the baby will one day see rain for the first time... water is amazing, this is too much, what even are clouds?" and then CRYING. 😂😭
