Urgent Lochia Question

Hi,

Am 12 days post delivery and just passed a large clot - think salad tomato.

Have had a feeling like my vagina has a dead leg (achy, dragging, heavy?) since delivery but otherwise feel ok.

I'm a FTM so have no idea if this is normal...

Am bleeding relatively heavily - bright red blood all day - have covers maybe a 1/5 (in area) of a pad in 25 mins.

Thoughts?

How are you OP? I hope all is ok with you and baby?

absolutehush · 04/04/2019 08:53

Apologies for not updating!

Me and baby are both well - midwife did an exam and then an ultrasound to check and decided all was ok, thankfully!

Oh good! Smile
...and what about the dead-leg vagina!?

Smotheroffive · 05/04/2019 01:54

I mean what's that all.about/did she say...

Same happened to me first time around. It was BIG but told it was normal and only happened the once.

@Smotheroffive dead leg vag also apparently normal and a sign I had been overdoing it. More common in women with tears at the bottom of vag/into the perineal tissue. Given that I had 7 stitches there....

Midwife made a referral to perineal trauma team!

Most importantly the baby remains blinking gorgeous and I didn't bleed to death!
