Was due 29/6 and started today with a show and grumbles - well I've had more show now and the contractions are not massively painful but they are there and I think they are about 5 mins apart - am just about to time them properly.
Have had a bath (am very hot now!) and have got my Dp to put my TENS on.
So will keep you posted -
Havent had any false alarms yet - so am hoping "this is it".

they are varying - from 25seconds to 50 - they seem to get more regular when i walk around and LO is still kicking around as well!!

Good! Stay upright and mobile then.

You need them to be lasting over 45 secs for more than half an hour.

Of course you could (and probably should) rest. Go to sleep if you can. You won't sleep through labour.

If you find it difficult to sleep then doze between the contractions. You will need your rest for when labour gets started in earnest!

Ooh, these threads are always exciting. Best of luck!

Spider · 09/07/2007 23:12

justbeme how exciting. All the very best to you girl.

Spider · 09/07/2007 23:14

You could rest, but you may want to crack on with it and if, as you say, things are happening more while you're on the move then maybe you ought to pootle off and do some baking in between contractions. Or cleaning. Try to forget about it and pretend it's not happening either way whether it's through sleep or toil.

justbeme · 09/07/2007 23:37

the contractions are about every 4 mins lasting 35 or seconds - so I think i'll go to bed soon and see how I go .

Right - contractions every 3-4 mins and about 45 seconds long (ish!)
Just finished the ironing and have phoned delivery suite - they said best to come in (its only 4 mins away)
BUT theres a lady just got out of pool so provided she delivers in next hour and if all ok - THEN i can have a pool birth - typical!! (Hurry up woman!!)
Will update as and when!!
wish me luck
