C Section - What do I need to know?

Long story short, I need to have a c section.

What do I need to know that the hospital don't necessarily tell you?

Any tips that i can do to prepare myself before hand or to make my life easier afterwards?

I also have a 2.5 year old - any tips there? How long will I need someone else around to help me etc?

Just thought of something else. When dh went back to work he left tea/coffee/mugs etc on the worktop for me so I didn't have to reach high shelves and he made packed lunches for older DD and me so we had food. Doubly helpful as it meant I could just hand DD hers when she was hungry even if I was dealing with the baby.
