Is this the mucus plug coming away? (Possibly TMI)

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and for the last two days, when wiping after urinating I have noticed a jelly type blob on the tissue.

It’s quite small amounts, three wipes just then showed 3 separate amounts each about the circumference of a fingertip, a clear colour with a slight yellow tinge and the same consistency as a jelly.

I’m a bit confused as I thought if it was a show it would be a large amount and have blood in it? Is it possible to lose the plug bit by bit?

Have been having back ache and feeling a lot of pressure down there also.

Starting to get very uncomfortable. Hoping someone can tell me whether this may or may not be a sign that things are progressing.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 38 weeks and noticed a little bit this morning as you described about the size of a 10p max. Haven't noticed anything since though. Have had backache and period cramps, but only BH contractions - irregular and don't hurt anymore than the period aches which are a constant pain. The pains seem to be getting a bit more now, but have been on my feet today, so think that's more likely making them worse.

Keep us updated! Would be interesting to see what happens, although I'm not getting my hopes up that this means much for me.
