I had a c section 4 weeks ago

All went well

I had dressing checks every other day. All fine.

Day 6 I went to the toilet and there was a funky smell. Look at the dressing which was filled yellow.

Ended up in hospital with a swab and antibiotics

Daily dressing changes for 2 weeks until antibiotics ran out.

Wound slowly stopped leaking and dressing was off.

Thank god as it bruised the whole outside of the scar having it pulled off daily!

So today marks a week of no antibiotics and I've been back to the doctors for more antibiotics as it's weeping again!
Starting to really get me down.

Doctor worried me saying it's gaping and to see a nurse Monday. I cried my eyes out. Just really had enough as that's my one worry!

I've just looked myself and it's not awful. But not healed. I've just put a dressing on as it's weeping.

Opinions?

This was me! Mine was open at both ends, after a few rounds of antibiotics and some anti fungal cream it closed at week nine. I totally sympathise with you, I got so down with it all.
Just keep an eye on your temp as that will indicate an infection. Best thing I did after showers was to lay on the bed naked and air dry.
It will improve!

I'm sorry to hear you've had problems. My wound was infected too. Had to clean it really well using salt water each day.

Currently in hospital as they tried to squeeze some of the infection out and waiting on the next step. Been here since 5 and still waiting on a doctor.
