What have you found to be the best maternity pads to use when baby is born??

Big thick soft ones - I found supermarket/Boots brands to be absolutely fine, as long as you got the maternity pads rather than sanitary towels.

The big boots ones.

HappyMama01 · 16/02/2019 07:52

Superdrug maternity pads were amazing!

Passthecake30 · 16/02/2019 07:54

I didn't need many - I think I used a couple of packs of mothercare ones before moving to thin towels.

Stormwhale · 16/02/2019 07:56

I found asda to be the best, very soft.

Bananarama12 · 16/02/2019 08:00

The boots ones. Recommended to use the proper maternity pads because they let the skin breathe better (if you've had a tear)

Bobbiepin · 16/02/2019 08:09

Another vote for boots. If you have the time wait until they are on 3 for 2 (and then buy every box there).

Sainsburys ones for me x

Disposable incontinence pants!

mummabubs · 16/02/2019 13:24

Sainsbury's own brand were the best for me (and I tried 4 diff supermarket brands), only £1 per pack and very soft.

happymummy12345 · 16/02/2019 13:26

I used Tesco ones. I loved them as they were very soft. I also used Tesco breast pads for the same reason

Thatsnotmyotter · 16/02/2019 13:35

Natracare! They’re made from cotton and don’t have that horrible sweaty synthetic feel. Way more absorbant too!

PlinkPlink · 16/02/2019 15:04

Boots were great, plus their weird mesh underpants things you can buy. Disposable underwear. Seriously great.
They also had the maternity sheets you can put under the bedsheets. Ideal for just in case there's a leak at night time. Or sitting down on the sofa for long periods of time whilst your little one cluster feeds 😂

Iamboudicca · 16/02/2019 15:10

I found Always maxi night time - the biggest size better than anything bespoke materinty wise. Odd as I hate their products normally- at least these ones are unscented!

DoAsDreamersDo · 17/02/2019 10:10

Sainsbury’s were my favourite. I went through at least 3 packs of them. Boots were ok, but I think they irritated me a little bit.

Celebelly · 17/02/2019 14:19

Natracare ones are brill. So soft! I got mine on Amazon.

thesausagesmademedoit · 17/02/2019 16:12

Depends gel core disposable pants for the first few days then I switched to always sensitive, but the long ones, size 3 I think.
Way more com5 than maternity ones
