Can I request a second sweep?

I had my first sweep yesterday with my community MW and so far, nothing. My induction is booked for Monday and my community MW has now signed me off so to speak. She'll next see me with the baby.

But I was wondering if I can phone the hospital and request a second sweep? Will the MW's at a hospital do them/have time?

Trying to avoid being induced at all possible costs!

Yes you can. I had 4 sweeps with DC4.

Our trust has said they'll only offer one now (used to do as many as you can wanted) so my midwife said she'll only do it once it's most likely to work/'favourable'. Might be worth checking your local policy just in case. I think this is quite a recent change though, and a friend has recently had multiple in a neighbouring trust.
