Which is better and when to start taking them?

Any stories of taking these, did it work? Smile

I drank the tea, i dont think it did anything but it made me feel like I was actively doing something and did no harm. I did have what I would describe as a positive birth though if that helps?

I had the tablets, started at 36 weeks and gave birth at 37+2, not sure if it was connected Confused

Pfft. Nothing worked for me. Tea, pineapple, curry, shagging 😀. DS had to be crowbarred out. Little git 😀

I used the tablets from about week 36 and had to be induced at 41+3 so it didn’t help with bringing on labour. I did have a short second stage of labour though and only needed a few pushes to get her out and I didn’t tear so maybe it did help in that regard. It definitely didn’t make it any less painful though!

It doesn't bring on labour, but it shortens the process. Proven in an Australian study I thought.

I started at 36 weeks. Midwife said to give it a blast with one litre a day. I did have a horrendous 25-hour ordeal with my first though (didn't drink any then, daft bat that I am). When my ob checked my cervix at 40+5 it was still there and shut fast.
I don't know if the tea did anything, but at 40 weeks cervix was almost gone and open and DS came 10 days later in 11 hours from first proper contraction to birth. And he was big for my small pelvis.

Yes to quick labour and minimal tearZ
