Labial tear

Gave birth to my daughter this morning and managed to get away with just a labial tear (my first wee hurt like a son of a bitch).

They didn't sure it had.stopped bleeding after applying pressure and said they would just leave it to heal on its own. Midwife did mention that it may be wise to pop a finger up there occasionally and make sure it wasn't healing attached to something it should.

The thought makes me feel ill and I don't think I can do it. Anyone has experience of the tear?

I had a labial tear and a perineal tear, both healed well and in the same amount of time (both were stitched though).
However I would say the labial tear was more painful, I couldn’t bear to touch it for weeks apart from when I had to clean the area in the shower.
It’ll be fine though, mine was fully healed up by week 5 after the birth.
