Is this the beginning of Labour?!

I am 37 weeks +1 today, and have been having loose stool (TMI I know), feel like I need to go to the loo CONSTANTLY, have lower back pain & my belly feels sore everywhere... I’ve been suffering from BH for the past 5 or so weeks but have been getting them really bad this past week. I was admitted to hospital three days ago but was told my contractions (although very much real) were not ‘peaking’ or regular, and as I have no major signs of labour like waters breaking and mucus plug, was advised to just relax, stay hydrated... and wait. But I’m so uncomfortable! The pains aren’t relieving no matter how many 3am baths I take, and I’ve had various checks at hospital which didn’t point to any problems... please tell me this is at least normal in some way? Or a sign of labour? I have an appointment tomorrow morning with midwife so will let you all know exactly what was said, but sometimes hearing other Mamas experiences helps too!

It’s normal, I’m sorry you’re so uncomfortable.
It could be early labour or it could not, I know that’s not helpful when you’re so miserable! I hope things progress for you and you get your baby soon! X

Yeah- as above it may or may not be. Sorry you're going through this. I had spurious labour with my dd in October and wouldn't wish it on anyone! Perhaps your midwife may do a sweep for you even though you're early considering you're so uncomfortable?
