I’m very confused about what’s going on with my postpartum bleeding (sorry in advance for any tmi!). I gave birth to my first child - dd - 10 1/2 weeks ago. Bleeding was fairly heavy for about 4/5 weeks then went yellow for about a week then back to bright red but fairly light bleeding until I was 8 weeks pp.
since then I’ve had white gloopy discharge every day that is slightly different to any discharge I’ve ever had before and today I’ve started bleeding again, not very heavy but it’s bright red again!
I’m wondering if it could be my period but I’m exclusively breastfeeding so I didn’t think it was very common to have periods this soon and it doesn’t feel like a regular period and also seems like I haven’t actually got over the post birth bleeding yet! Anybody else experienced this?
Also (this is definitely tmi 
- sorry!!) whenever I need to poop I get a stabbing pain in my abdomen so I’m unsure if it could be related!
I did mention to the dr at my 7 week check that bleeding had stopped and started again but he was didnt seem to want to know so I’ve been reluctant to go back, also don’t want to waste time if it’s normal or just my period!
