secondary post partum hemorrhages / leftover tissue

After sudden heavy bright red bleeding and passing clots three nights in a row a month post partum I had a scan which showed some 2.5cm tissue was still in the uterus. Following that I had another incidence of heavy blood loss and clotting worse than the three before that (blurred vision/dizzyness/too weak to walk) which reduced the tissue to

Hi @KJPJ,

Haven't had repeat bleeds like you. Had 2ry PPH at 4 weeks. Have you been put on antibiotics? GP started me on them day before they scanned and swabbed me. No retained products but did have endometritis. Go back and personally I'd query about sepsis. Better ruling it out.

@KJPJ Just remembered that on the day I hemorrhaged I had blurred vision in one eye. A week later it was still there so GP sent me to eye clinic and once there I had high blood pressure. They sent me back to GP but BP had come down. GP asked me to come every day for that week to check my BP but it was fine in the end. Do ask them to check your blood pressure (in both arms if necessary).

@Makeitchange Thanks for your reply! Yes the hospital gave me antibiotics intravenously while I was there and I am still on oral ones. They did check my BP every few hours for over 24h and were happy enough with it, considering the bleeding, but the blurred vision was only while I was losing the blood.
