That was fantabulous! I have always harboured a yearning for a birth in the great outdoors, but it is unlikely in the Scottish weather!

Hmm, dunno about the "let's have our 3 or 4 yr old present while we do perineal massage" bit. I don't doubt their motives but is it really necessary?

Personally I wouldn't have a small child present at a birth either, in case they were scared or confused. I'm worried about dp being scared or confused when I have the baby, and he's 30!
