Csection planned at 37 weeks - Placenta Praevia

I'm currently admitted for the next three weeks until 37 week cSection on 19th Dec - placenta preavia and I've had three abrubtions now, the last one was quite bad so hospital stay (just incase it happens again, still bleeding slightly and internal scan today now shows placenta completely covering cervix, and baby head down right next to it)-
Their quite happy Dd2 is doing fine, growth scan today shows her measuring about 6lbs, Doppler of cord all good, fluid levels fine, had steroid injections at 32 weeks for her lungs, another lot due weekend before section.....it's just me there concerned about it seems!? I'm getting iron infusions just in case...
Made the mistake of asking anaesthetist 'worse case senario' when he came to talk me through what would happen...got the answer 'with placenta praevia csection we might not be able to stop you bleeding, so there's always a possibility we'll have to put you to sleep and possibly hysterectomy....'

To be honest as long as dd2 born safe and well ok...but a little concerned how it will all go!?

Just wondering if anyone has had a csection with placenta preavia, how it went for you??

Just wondering how everything went for you. I'm currently in the same position as you were and booked in for my section on 22-1.
Thanks
