Stitches rubbing

Gave birth 3 days ago , had an episiotomy and was stitched up, very swollen too and they put in my notes haematoma ? Up until today was ok, assume was still getting sensation back but from this afternoon the swollen area with stitches in is really rubbing on my pad , any ideas on what I can do to relieve this ?
Am otherwise feeling ok and was looking forward to a small walk tomorrow but now it's too uncomfortable to move ☹️ baby girl is of course worth it a million times over Grin

I was really sore after both of my labours. Like for a good few weeks after. The second time this was partly because all the stitches cane out. Is your midwife due to come round soon? Definitely ask her to take a look in case they’re infected or something. Probably is all fine but at least if you get checked out you won’t have to worry.
In meantime I advise double padding!

Lots of warm salty baths to keep the stitches soft and to help them heal helped me - all three times! It is worth checking everything is where it should be and that there's no infection.

I had stitches and on day 6 my midwife suggested milk and lavender oil baths (1/4 of s cup of milk and about 5 drops of oil) this really worked for me and was really soothing by day 9 after having the baths each day I felt noticeably better. By day 13/14 stitches felt as if they’d all dissolved
