Sweep at 38 weeks?

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow with my second baby and have my midwife appointment. I suffered with really severe postnatal anxiety and was still receiving treatment when I fell pregnant. I have continued to see my psychiatrist and have an appointment with the perinatal mental health team next week. My question is would there be any point in asking for a sweep tomorrow as I am just desperate for this pregnancy to be over so I can get back into my medication or will it be a flat out no? I'm in Scotland if that makes any difference

You can ask, but I think the guidelines say 41 weeks for second baby for first week. Unless a doctor states otherwise.
If your doctor thinks it is best then they could write for you maybe?

I had sweeps when I saw the midwife from roughly 38 weeks, probably 38+2 (in Scotland), I didn't ask, they just offered. So you could ask I think, perhaps they won't but worth a try. After 38 weeks you're definitely full term.

At my 36 week appointment my midwife said she could do a sweep at 38 weeks. I agreed but now I’m unsure as to wether to go ahead with it.
