Early October births - how are you feeling?

DD born first week of October by vacuum with episiotomy. Just wondering how others are feeling recovery wise from around this time. I'm still struggling quite a bit. I feel very uncomfortable and 'tight' down there. My pelvic area in general is just achy and can't walk too far. Still feel very far from normal and feel like it's restricting me in day to day life. Just reaching f out to see if any others are experiencing a long recovery too.

My DS was born 2nd October but by csection, in general i feel ok but am having problems with my back from the spinal and my DS still has jaundice but is breastfed so it's taking longer to clear. In regards to episiotomy i had it with my first two children & it did take a while to heal and i actually had an infection with my 2nd born with no smell but achy pains inside, maybe have a checkup with your doctor just to rule that out, also did you have stitches as i did but i had one that was pulling too tight and in the end had it snipped to release the tight feeling. Hope you feel better soon x

Aw thank you - my girl was born 3rd October so a day after you. I did have an infection in stitches and has antibiotics and that cleared up. In general stitches aren't too bad but still pull a bit. Have my post natal check with gp next week. It's more so the general achy and uncomfortable feeling that's bothering me. I honestly feel like an old woman and sometime need to catch my breath when I stand up! I really hope I get back to normal!

Its not easy so i do feel for you, the achy pelvis will eventually ease up but definitely mention it to doctor next week, pregnancy puts alot of strain on everything, they might suggest physio to strengthen your core muscles that will definitely help your pelvis, try to rest as much as possible too. It will get easier x
