Home birth birthing pool recommendations?

Hi Mums and Mums to be!

I'm a FTM (36+0) due 12/11/18 and am very much considering a home birth. I wondered if anyone here had already had a home birth where they hired a birthing pool and could provide any recommendations of the best places?

Looking at other forums and information, La Bassine seems to be the best option.

I also wondered, given the pool is inflatable, if you lean on the sides, is it sturdy enough to hold a persons' weight? The last thing I want is to be gripping onto the sides and for the plastic to fold or collapse!

Thank you in advance :)

I used Barefoot Birth Pools for my 3 homebirths. Fantastic service. And don't worry, the pool is very sturdy. I lent on the side significantly with last labour and it was able to support me no probs

I bought a large birth pool in a box from eBay for about £60, the previous owner had filled it but not got in. The midwife told me to give it a clean with Milton but not to fret about it being sterile etc, as the water going in it isnt sterile, you’re body isn’t - basically birth isn’t a sterile experience! That reassured me buying second hand. Then I made it through two births with it being filled but not able to get in! It’s back in the attic in case we want a third. Is very sturdy tho, no problem leaning on side.
