Hi there, having my second baby in April and starting to think about the birth.... has anyone tried those kegal machines, like Elvie? Are they worth getting? Any advice appreciated!

Personally I'd use the money on a womens health physio. Who will recommend any equipment you might need, if you need it. But the machines themselves are better used with professional input.

I have a Kegel8 machine and think it definitely helped. I had a few pelvic PT sessions but afterwards just used Kegel8 for a few weeks and felt like everything was back to normal (I had a dragging feeling and weak pelvic floor muscles after birth, hence me going to a pelvic PT). It's pretty simple to use - I used to do a 30min 'workout' on it whilst watching Eastenders and having a cup of tea! Grin
