So, I've recently gave birth to an absolutely amazing baby girl. The labour was horrific and little one was born not breathing. Thankfully she was resuscitated, however has suffered a widespread brain injury and been diagnosed with HIE. Following an investigation, it's been found I suffered chronic placental abruptions during pregnancy and an acute placental abruption towards the end.
It's totally thrown my world upside down and how I feel about future pregnancies. I always saw myself with a big family, but now I feel that it could be to risky and don't want to do anything that may put my daughter at risk.
Has anyone gone on to have further pregnancies following placental abruption and has there been any problems?
Also does anyone have children with hie. If so, how are they developmentally. My little girl is doing amazing, but she's only 3 months so early days. She is however, tracking, social smiling, laugher and holding her neck up, so everything she should be for her age.
