Hi Lulu

You may remeber that I joked about us all having a virtual doula on MN?? Maybe? Maybe not? Anyway as DH will possibly not be around for a couple of weeks leading up to DDay in November I started to think that maybe I should get myself a doula as we are moving to a new area and won't exactly be very familiar with the neighbours by then - not THAT familiar anyway!

What is the best way of finding a doula in my area? Do I go through the MW or do it independently?

Thank you for any help!!

There is a site Doula UK that you can use to locate the doulas near to you and contact them via the website

HTH

what pecka said !! there is a free find a doula service on there....also nurturing birth can also put you in touch with NB trained doulas in your area...

and i am of course happy to do an online doulaing !!

where are you moving to?

lulumama · 13/06/2007 12:50

this link takes you straight to the find a doula service on Doula UK!

Thank you!

Moving to Gloucestershire...! Hooray love it there. We've had 3 so far with the same weekly m/w and then - by pure chance - the same 2 teams of m/w's at the hospital - Cheltenham, best by far!!

Not sure I'll be brave enough to have this one on my own if DH is not around.

I'll be sure to take up the online doula help when the time comes!! Thank you!
