What do these twinges mean?

I keep getting funny twingy pains in my cervix. What does this mean?
I am 41+2.

I am not holding my breath for labour as I have been getting these on and off for weeks but they do seem to be a bit more insistent this morning.

I had these too, and when I went to be induced I was nearly 3cm dilated. I think you are probably having mild contractions, have you been examined. I am just guessing, so probably wrong.

Not been examined no, seeing my MW tomorrow so hopefully will know more then, I just wondered if anyone knew until then as I do feel pretty odd!
