Sharp pain after c section

Hi ladies, loooong time lurker here.

I gave birth to my first baby, a LG via c section last Wednesday which all went smoothly. On Friday evening right before I was discharged I was instructed to try feeding her in the lying down side position by the midwife as I was having trouble getting her to latch on, and as I was getting into the position (very very slowly and carefully) I felt a sharp quick pain in my incision on the left hand side. It only lasted a second and I didn’t think anything else of it.

Went home that evening and everything was fine until the next day upon getting out of bed where I got the pain again in the same place, it was so bad this time that it brought me to tears. Since then I keep getting the pain several times a day, usually when I Make sudden movements. It badly hurts every time I get out of bed/sit down etc but generally walking around etc is fine.

The midwife came yesterday to take my stitches out so I mentioned all this to her and she said unless I get a temperature or a swollen, bruised/red belly it’s a normal pain. She also said the incision looked like it was healing well etc.

Has anyone had anything like this? It’s been a few days now and it just doesn’t feel like it’s getting any better. It’s getting me down as I’m worried I’ve done something internally :(

Sounds very similar to what i experienced. Keep on top of your pain killers and do as little as possible and it passes in a week or so Smile
