Changing mind on birth partner

My mum is very controlling/annoying and I've decided I don't want her at the birth this time as my OH mum has been asking and it's only fair to let her experience child birth as well... how do I tell my mum ?
She has to be involved in everything and even bases my midwife appointments around her schedule it's becoming a joke 😴

You'll have to just tell her won't you. You're an adult now. You'd best start as you mean to go on or you'll have no peace with baby, and the decisions you make. Maybe Google assertiveness techniques

I had my mum with me & hubby 1st birth, at the second i decided i would have my MIL as it was her grandchild too and i thought it was only right she saw her sons baby born too, i just told my mum that it was the right choice as she was there 1st time round, i said i would feel better knowing she was looking after DC1 and MIL had the chance to witness birth. Our third birth & soon to be 4th will just be me and hubby (first two were natural, 3rd ELCS and 4th will be ELCS) but even if I'd had natural i would of still just had me and hubby. You can't always please everyone but have to do what's right for you. This is your baby and body so can't schedule that round your mum! She will have to be understanding. Good luck!

Why is your mum sorting your midwife appointments around her schedule? Surely you're the one who makes your appointments?

@MinecraftHolmes I invited her to my 16 week midwife appointment and at the end the midwife books my next appointment and my mum says when she can and can't do it's actually pathetic 😂

Sorry relatives but the coach trip to the birthing suite is cancelled.
Tell them mw suggests only those who attended the conception be allowed at the birth.

@overagain I don't think I would mind my MIL there as she is a lot more calm/chilled where as my mum panics easily x
