Would love to hear good vbac experiences...

Hello,
I had an elective c-section due to breech baby almost 2 years ago. Number 2 due early next year and I’m finding it very hard to come to terms with the fact I have to make the decision on c-section vs Vbac! I’m so worried about making the wrong decision but of course you can’t compare as a csection is a lot more ‘known’ (although I know things can go wrong), but I have no idea if I’ll have a dreamy quick easy labour or tear into shreds and need forceps! I’m v scared of going for vbac and something going wrong and harming the baby, and forever thinking - I made the wrong decision. It’s very easy to read horror stories on vbacs with people ending up with emcs or terrible deliveries and wish they’d gone elective -I’d love to hear positive experiences where people are really glad they made that decision.
I would really really love a vbac but just can’t shake the weight of the decision.

I had a successful VBAC 18 months after my emcs. Labour was long! It was a first labour for me as I didn’t get the chance with ds1.
I was monitored throughout my labour but remained very active. Ds2 was back to back and brow presentation my labour stalled at 8cm for quite a while, at which point I got an epidural! In the end my 9lb 10 whopper was born with the help of some forceps and an episiotomy. Had a pph but all in all a great experience and I’m so pleased I got to have my VBAC!
Good luck, I hope all goes well for you!

I had emcs at after 2 days labour following IOL with first. 2 yrs later I had 5 hour vbac from first contraction to birth, 1st degree tear, Home having lunch 4 hours later and running around the garden with 2yo the next day. It was great! (I mean labour really really hurt but overall it was great.)

I had a very beautiful home vbac, 17yrs after EMCS so some would say that doesn't count. 6hrs from 1st contraction to birth. I did TONS of research and felt strongly that vbac would be best for both of us. I had an episiotomy and baby born with H.I.E but that could've happened with hospital birth. Labour was intense and powerful, maybe more so because it was a vbac I had to fight for. Gorgeous 4month old snoozing next to me right now Grin
