When did you get your period back?

I am 7 weeks postpartrum today. Bled on and off till last week but still no period yet. I had another c section and from what i can remember with DD1 i had a period 5 weeks after. I have been on the progesterone onky pill since just before 3 weeks pp. When did your period come back?

Eight weeks. Full period but it was painless for first time in my life. Normally I get crippling period pains

Are you breastfeeding? My periods returned when I went down to two feeds a day.

Are you breastfeeding? I think that with POP it's not unusual to not have a period, but may have occasional spotting

About 18 months after birth. I was breastfeeding.

About six weeks. Didn't bf.

No I'm not breastfeeding. I've had this pill before and always bled on it infact a lot more than normal x

After only a few months, both times, and that was EBF

@HeyMicky I am glad its not just me I was 3months after my first, 8 weeks after my second and just started today, 8 weeks after again.

I was/am EBF all 3 and I was tandem feeding after my second was born and the tandem feeding now with my third!

After 3 months but I BF for 2 months x

With DC 3 & 4 it was 6 weeks max despite exclusive breastfeeding

Thank for your replies ladies. I honestly thought i would of had a period by now. I see the doctor next friday for our check up and babies first injections so hoping i have had one by then. I'm still producing a tiny bit of milk I've noticed but hardly anything. I thought it had stopped weeks ago. My boobs are quite lumpy too but same in both breasts and moveable. Normally used to get them before period so hope its on its way.

If you are having bleeds on the POP it's not actually a period though so won't be as predictable. I'm fortunate though that I never bled on it. My period just never returned.

I thought today i was finally starting my period. A bit of blood and now nothing 😞. Is this normal? Even on the pill? I'm starting to worry incase the pills failed or something is wrong. I see gp friday. Will she do a test if i haven't had a period or on a period then?

I had lochia for 3 months after.
Then nothing for a week.
Then fell down the stairs, bled, then my period came.
After that, back to normal cycle.

6 months just as I visited the doctor to say I though something was wrong!!

It defiently wasn't lochia today. I don't think I've ever been in so much of a rush to have a period lol

I had lochia for 2 weeks, 3rd week was very light. A coupe of weeks after I got my 1st proper period. I went on the combined pill at the 6 week check, so from then i had my withdrawal bleed instead.

Lots of women will not get periods when taking the progesterone only pill. If it is Desogestrel 75 (cerazette, cereals, feanolla) 96% will actually stop ovulating. It could be this that is causing your lack of period.

Mine came back when my breast feeding decreased. Can't remember precisely when but I didn't breast feed for that long.

First time 14 months - breastfeeding. Second time 9 months and counting but started minipill at 7 months PP.

I think i will go get a test to put my mind at rest x
