Quick question.

Whats the difference between a 2nd or 3rd degree tear?
I was told I had a 2nd degree tear but have absolutly no idea what they meant by it.

Thanks

a second degree tear is less serious/extensive than 3rd degree tear. A third degree tear would require significant surgical time to repair IMHO. An episiotomy is equivalent to a second degree tear.

I had 3rd degree tear and extended episiotomy with dd1. Tore right to my bum, just avoided tearing inside it.
