Induction after previous section

Has anyone had this?
I had an ‘ELCS’ with my little boy. I got pre eclampsia and they gave me steroids over the weekend and did the section on the Monday I was 38 weeks.

I was going to go for an ELCS this time however I’m completely worried because I am single and wondering how I’ll cope recovering from a section with my little boy too.
I was wondering if I could request induction?

It probably depends on risk factors and the trust policy. Some hospitals will put a time limit on labour and go to a section if nothing is happening. AFAIK you may not get the same drugs because it could increase risk of rupture.

I had a successful induction and VBAC. They were willing to use drip not pessary and monitored more. It went well and was an infinitely quicker and easier recovery than the c-section. I was overdue.
