How much would weight did everyone lose after giving birth? I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I can't wait to get back into shape! Feel horrible xx

None. I lost the weight of baby and placenta but then swelled up with fluid retention. Then I lost that but gained weight quickly from breastfeeding. Only lost it when I stopped feeding.

I'm not sure about immediately after birth, but by the time my body had settled down i was 8lb over pre-pregnancy weight (had gained just over 2st while pregnant). I lost that 8lb, plus another stone, really quickly and easily with breastfeeding though.

35 weeks pregnant now and main motivation for breastfeeding is the weight loss potential! Grin

I was 10 stone when I found out I was pregnant, gained 2 stone and 11 stone now and LO is 4 months. Still fit into pre pregnancy clothes but just a little more snug than I would like! But even 4 months on convenience food sometimes is a must and there is no chance of the time for a trip to the gym! Hope you do a better job than me! X

I gained about 8kg with my first two and it fell straight off within two weeks. I was breastfeeding which I’m sure makes a huge difference. I was slimmer a few weeks after giving birth than I was on my wedding day.

Don’t stress about it, it will come off easily if you’ve kept healthy throughout your pregnancy.

I gained 19lbs whilst pregnant and 3 weeks after giving birth the weight was gone (baby was 8lb 7oz). 'm not exactly the same shape and am looking forward to some exercise (baby is only 5 weeks) but I'm not rushing , I know I won't have time for my old routine and my priority is my Dd. I really believe it's all down to luck, I've been a lot bigger in the past and never expected to be back to my pre pregnancy size this quick. Try not to put any pressure on yourself. I haven't been careful about what I've eaten, only just getting back to cooking regularly. You'll be so busy with the baby you won't worry about loosing weight. It was never a priority for me and I didn't have any expectations about how I'd look and have just taken it a day at a time. Get plenty of rest and enjoy your baby x

I lost it within a week but I only gained 14lbs

I put on 3.5 stone during pregnancy, not helped by being on steroids for all of it, I had him 7 months ago and have lost 3 stone so far, to be honest I have just deflated slowly I haven't really tried but the last half won't budge and I don't care enough to try!

I was two week pp before I weighed myself on both my previous and had lost around 20lbs each time. I put on about that with both pregnancies so back to pre pregnancy weight but it did take a while for my Shape to go back to normal even though the weight was gone.

I'm 36 weeks now and up from pre pregnancy about 8lbs lost some at the start again from sickness. Hoping that this time will be the same and it's just toning I have to do fingers crossed.

I gained about two stones during pregnancy and another stone in the year afterwards! Mainly because I didn’t give a shit. DS is built almost entirely out of cake Grin

He’s approaching two now and I’ve almost lost it all. I’m also much, much fitter than I was before I had him - I ran 10k in one go at the weekend! Nothing like a toddler at home to encourage you to go to the gym for a nice rest Wink
