I had a EMCS 6 weeks ago today, had a pretty traumatic birth but have recovered well and pretty much back to normal, driving etc.
I want to take my baby to swimming classes and just wondered if anyone knows how long I have to wait or if I would be good to go?
I've been too scared to even have a bath yet Blush

With both my emergency sections, I had a bath on day 5 and was absolutely fine. I think the advice for swimming is it's okay once you've stopped bleeding vaginally.

Thank you! I've just got this irrational fear of water getting into the wound even though it's probably completely healed on the outside now! 🤦‍♀️

As long as your wound is healed externally then you’ll be fine in the water. It’ll be lovely, I went swimming about 4 weeks after mine and it was lovely, my body felt free in the water
