Could this be labour?

Hi , first post so not sure if it's right! Last Tuesday I was 37+4 and had a S+S , I had some mild cramping and backache later that day and the next few days I gradually lost my plug. Over the weekend I had worse stomach pains that would come and go quite regular but then it all stopped. I saw my midwife around 12pm today at 38+5 and she did another S+S , since then I've had cramping which has actually been quite painful, terrible backache and have started having diarrhoea tonight (TMI I know , sorry) could this actually be the start of things this time? I'm being induced on Friday so I know he's going to be coming sometime soon anyway but would be nice if this pain was for a reason!

It does sound like the beginning of labour- diarrhoea is often a symptom! Good luck OP Thanks

What happened in the end?

sj2595 · 29/08/2018 22:08

It wasn't labour! Got induced on Friday morning but the propess didn't do anything, due to staff shortages I eventually saw a dr Saturday night who said I could have ARM , took till Monday afternoon to get a bed in delivery ward and he was finally born at 22.11 Monday night! Very long 4 days stuck in hospital but totally worth it to have my little boy here!
