Arnica tablets and C-sections.....is it ok to start taking them before the op?

I bought them thinking I'd use them to help prepare for VB but it's going to be a CS due to breech baby. Arnica also supposed to help with healing wound and scar afterwards.
Does anyone know if it's ok to start taking them before the operation?
Midwife won't really advise me either way as they're not drugs.
Thanks for any advice!!

Yes. I took them for a week beforehand, I think it was 3 times a day with food, then on the day of the op it was every 2 hours, this went on for a week and then it was back to 3 times a day. Get advice from a herbalist - the people in Neal's Yard should help if there is one near you.

Thanks TuttiFrutti, going to start taking them today and ask for more advice in a good health shop we have here.
