I didn't realise how urgent both my births atually were. I went through both of my births with counselling, but now it feels like it was for nothing.

Who can I ask to de-brief my notes?

Thanks

why were they urgent?

Tigana · 04/06/2007 20:43

The PALS (patient advice and liaison) service at the Trust, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Simsy · 04/06/2007 20:44

I would think your prenatal / post natal midwife or your GP and they could refer you on if appropriate.

Both dc cords round them, but it took me along time to comethrough the feelings I had.
It's nothing compared to some women, but it really hit me iykwim.

I called my hospital, asked to speak to cons about my VBAC with forceps and was sent an appointment to see him fairly quickly at one of his clinics. This was all done when dd was about 20 or so months.

It was very useful and he was able to reassure me about many things, which I, too, needed to do before taking on my first Doula client.

Hope you get to have some explanations and then closure so that you can go on to be a great Douala! HUG!
