Induction tomorrow. Nice stories required!

Currently sitting in the bath trying to relax after spending the day feeling terrified about my induction tomorrow! I'm a first time mum, and currently 37+4. Being induced due to mild pre-eclampsia at 8:30am tomorrow morning.

Does anybody have any nice induction stories? I'm so scared it's going to take days and that I won't be able to cope with the pain. I've also been told I'm not allowed my lovely birthing pool plan since I'll have to be monitored for blood pressure - it all just feels out of my control!

I was induced, pessary in for 24 hours, then was hooked up to the hormone drip to start my contractions, 4 hours after my first contraction my baby was in my arms 😊 good luck!

I've just realised you've had the baby! How beautiful!! Congratulations 😍

@Filzma definitely helping! I appreciate you taking the time to message back.

I really just want to be told some good news!

@dippyeggsandsoldiers oh wow, was that your first?
OP had her baby who is gorgeous but Sugarskulllover is waiting...

@Sugarskulllover I'm too invested lol, keep me posted on any developments. Oh and if you have an epidural, the midwife might offer to give you a towel bath after baby arrives. Mine did. So just have a flannel and shower gel or whatever, in your toiletries bag at the very top just incase.

Other than that, hydrate and eat properly. You need the energy. Xx

I wanted the pool but was induced due to my waters going but no labour starting naturally. The put the pill in. 4 hours later I had my baby in my arms. I had no instincts to push either so it'd of been quicker if they'd realised and told me when to push earlier. Pain wasn't as bad as I expected and I fell asleep between contractions having gas and air, then diamorphine when I started to push. Loved the drugs! I had stitches too but was all totally fine, didn't hurt afterwards either (I had been warned it would sting when I peed but it didn't).
Advice if you want it - get your birth partner to pack the bag so they know where stuff is, mine couldn't find the clothes for the baby 🙄, try to get hold of a child's swim ring to sit on afterwards 😊

@Filzma yep first baby, very quick! I shocked the midwife when I said I can feel the head between my legs!

@Sugarskulllover good luck lovely, hope all goes well for you!
