Hi,

I am currently 34+2 with baby no 2 and have found out I am breech again.. DD was breech - I was booked for ELCS at 39+4 but my waters broke a week before and ended up having EMCS at 38+4.

I have a bicornuate uterus so likely this one will stay in breech position now and good chance she will arrive before due date naturally too. Early babies are the norm in my family.

Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience and if the second ELCS was booked earlier to reduce chance of going into labour before booked date? I would rather have an ELCS than an EMCS.

Thanks

Mine is likely to be booked for 37 weeks. I’m having twins and DS1 was born by cesarean at 36 weeks, because I went into labour early.

Like you I feel happier with an elective.

My first was delivered at 42 weeks. My second was booked at 39 weeks. Third at 37.5 and fourth at 39. I think it depends on how each pregnancy is going but they did not want me to go to 40 weeks just in case.

Yes both breech.

Dd emcs at 39&4 ds elcs at 37.

Went into labour at 38+4 with my first, ended up with emcs because they got stuck mid pelvis.

Asked for a repeat as early as possible, got given 39+1.

Went into labour at 39 weeks exactly. However despite it being an "emergency" in terms of what's on my notes etc it was still very much like an elective.
