Hi All

I'm 11 days overdue with my second pregnancy. This morning I went into hospital to have Propess inserted. An hour later, after a walk round the grounds and some monitoring, they offered that I could go home if I wanted. I'm to go back if waters break/ I have my 'show'/ serious contractions happen or by 11am tomorrow if nothing has happened.

This is my second baby. My first was also induced at 15 days over. I was in hospital for 5 days and very miserable, they flat out refused to let me go home. So I jumped at the chance this time. So far its been a good decision.

Last time I had Propess, it didn't really do the trick but they didn't move me onto the drip or break my waters as the labour ward was so full it was shut. After 2 days my waters went on their own.

Now at home I'm having quite bad pains, like a period pain feeling. I dont think they are contractions. They're pretty frequent ( every 6-10 mins) feels like pain in my uterus and a sore back, pain is about a 5/10 rising to a six.

Is this early stage labour? I didn't have this experience last time and I feel unsure what is going on.

Anyone that has been induced and laboured just from Propess I'm interested to hear from you x

Is your baby back to back I wonder? That's what contractions felt like for me at the start. I'd keep track of how frequent they are and go back to hospital once they are more frequent (or stronger/more painful).

It sounds like early labour to me.

I'd get timing them and go back if they go under 5 mins.
