Hi, i am on the 4 week count down to meet my little one. I have a 2 year old at home who has hit terrible twos full smack. I had an emergency section after 11hours of labour with him due to complications with him and his breathing lowered. Basically for my second baby i have been given a choice. To go vbac or section again...
I am on asprin as i had high blood pressure with my son and they had to start me.. so to keep that risk down im on asprin everyday until doctors orders.

Im looking to know has anyone had a succesful vbac after having a section with their first child. Would they reccomend it

Or anyone who has another toddler at home who went with another section... did you find it difficult.
I have expressed my worries with my husband and quite frankly im scared of the whole thing.

I had a repeat c-section 6 weeks ago with dd and a 3 year old at home. I didn't find it difficult however I had a really easy recovery with my first emcs despite it being after a very long labour and failed forceps so was fairly confident that this time it should be as easy. I think if I'd had a harder recovery I might have pursued a vbac especially since I did go into labour before my planned section date.

As it happened, this time I've bounced back even faster than I did with my first.

What was your recovery like the first time around?

C section. I wouldn't want to risk another emergency section (,which are harder to recover from) or a bad vbac, which is also difficult to recover from. At least an elective is more of a known entity.

I am slightly biased though, I had a horrific v birth and nothing on this earth could convince me to do it again (actually it's the 2+yr recovery you couldn't convince me to do!).

I had a failed VBac with DD2. DD1 & 2 just didn't want to come out and were big! My 3rd birth was a planned csection and was lovely. I knew what to expect and recovered very quickly. So I say, planned c section.
