Foley Bulb induction - how long did it take?

Has anyone had a foley bulb induction? Just wondering how long it took to start labour?

I agreed if I need induction I might go for this over a repeat c-section but my consultant has said labour would need to be established within 4 hours of it being inserted otherwise I go for a csection, that doesn't sound like very long really.

I can't have pessaries or a drip to speed things up due to my history but giving only 4 hours for the bulb seems like hardly any time to let it work, or are they usually really quick

That does seem quick. I was due to have one but went into labour spontaneously beforehand. The plan had been to insert it and send me home, and take it out 12-24 hours later (my trust leave it for up to 24 but NICE suggest 12...

Thank you, 12 hours sounds better! I wonder why they are telling me 4. Got to give my body a chance to actually do something! x
