Anyone given birth with existing urine retention issues?

Has anyone given birth with existing urine retention issues? Did a second birth make the issue worse for you?

Currently 34 weeks with DC2. Had a hideous induction resulting in forceps delivery (with episiotomy) for DC1 almost 2.5 years ago. Very early in the labour (before I was even 2cm dilated) I was unable to pass urine. Issues continued post birth and found it a truly awful experience. It's never gone back to normal and now is getting worse again, presumably as baby is getting bigger.

I'm already seeing consultant re having an elcs (they dont agree i have any medical reason btw, despite the urine retention, a torn hip cartilage from the delivery plus pnd/possible ptsd) and have seen specialist midwife who has agreed a suggested plan to book one but pursue a spontaneous labour if it happens. I now need to convince the consultant though, but over the last week the urine issue has got worse and I'm now feeling terrified of a repeat of last time and making the issue even worse.

Sorry for the ramble, would love to hear from anyone with experience of this personally.
