Can early contractions feel like you need to do a poo/pass wind???

I've had lots of BH's this time round but also keep getting ones where I feel like I need to go to the toilet - but don't (and no I'm not constipated ) but once my tummy stops tightening the feeling passes.....

thanks (here's the valium ), just wanted to clear it up incase my body reacts differently this time round and contractions start before my waters go LOL.

I eventually twigged that labour was beginning after repeatedly going to the toilet thinking I needed a poo for about 3 hours!

There's no such thing as a 'dim' or stupid question when it comes to childbirth!

hehe - fancy seeing you here lulu...........don't worry when they do eventually start getting regular (sometime between now and the middle of June given that I'm 38 weeks today ) I'll still do my "HELP AM I IN LABOUR" thread for you to come and rescue me
