Anyone else overdue?

I know, I know, babies come when they’re ready etc etc. But I’m feeling so bored and frustrated, and so bloody uncomfortable in this heat!

I keep having bouts of really intense period and back pain for a few days and thinking something’s happening and then it just stops!

Anyone else?

Hi! I'm 40+2, how many weeks are you? I've had period pain type cramps for the last couple of hours but I've been having them on and off for the last couple of weeks. Have you had a sweep yet?

I’m 40+1, they tried to give me a sweep yesterday but couldn’t quite reach my cervix! Trying again tomorrow. Have you had one?

Exactely the same for me - my midwife tried to give me a sweep at exactly 40 weeks but my cervix was too high. I'm trying again tomorrow too!

40+5 here - had a sweep yesterday, but my ‘unfavourable’ cervix wasn’t having any of it apparently! Booked in for another sweep next Wednesday, then induction a week today. Feeling pretty disappointed disappointed really.

I feel your pain! Clary sage seems to have taken the nightly period pains and back ache up a notch but still no more action than that. Another sweep for me tomorrow!

Oooh I've got some clary sage! How are you using it? I've just been smelling it but I think I need to mix with olive oil and massage into my bump?

Sympathy for you ladies! My DD was 6 days late and I was in despair

I’ve had a 2 baths with the clary sage mixed in with some milk, I’ve mixed it with olive oil and put it on the bump (and pressed/massaged it into acupressure points on my ankle and hand... give it a google) and put it neat onto a cotton pad and slept with it on my pillow... the latter seems to be doing a bit more than the others though!

I was 10 days overdue so I feel your frustration. I was given a mix of clary sage, jasmine and lavender from the MLU to try at home. I had 3 sweeps, 3 trips to hopsital where I was told I wasn't dilated enough, induced at 1630 on tuesday, contractions started at 1700...my boy arrived at 1907!

Mine were 17 and 14 days late - so I feel your pain! Reflexology seemed to help with my second, though it could have bee coincidence of course.

@ceestar how are you? Any signs of the baby yet?

Yes I'm 11 days overdue with no symptoms of labour. . Fed up
