Burning pain on tummy after c section

Section was 2 weeks ago and my tummy has a burning pain on the outside of the skin. Not on the scar but above it. Any idea what this is and whether it’s normal? I don’t remember it from last time!

I would ring thw doctors or midwife to get that checked out. I never had that with mine x

Get it checked out, any pain should be looked at

I didn’t have it last time but I looked online and apparently it’s just nerve trouble and it’s normal and will fade

It's where the nerves have been cut and are raw/exposed. It feels like a very sharp, stingy burning pain. Mine was above the incision too. It fades and becomes quite numb.

Only happened with my second too.

LadyPug · 07/06/2018 16:38

That’s right showofhands that’s exactly it! So do you feel normal again now? It’s a horrid feeling!

That is quite normal just as long as the scar itself isn't overly inflamed As the other posters have said its due to the nerves that have been cut.You will find that it comes and goes and in some cases can be stronger around the time of your period .The scar itself will feel numb and in many cases the sensation never fully comes back.

Mine feels normal now. At 2 weeks it felt quite bad as the residual spinal and any other drugs were finally gone from my system and I was more active. By 6 weeks, it felt more numb than stingy and then settled to its new normal by 12 weeks. I just have the odd numb patch now and my DC are 11 and 6 respectively.

It'll get better Smile

Oh I had a patch of that for a while after, about 3 weeks. It went.
