Hi all,

Im looking at hypnobirthing and wondered whether anybody knows which is better (if one is superior to other) between Mongan method and Graves?

We have a taster course with a lady who teaches Mongan and we are looking at a lady who is KGhypnobirthing which is Graves?

Thanks

Both similar. Core of good ideas on both, but you still need to wade through a fair amount of woo. Just concentrate on the sensible stuff and ignore all the ‘your body is designed to/women have been giving birth for millennia so..’ shit. No we aren’t designed, and anyone who tells you that the past was women wmeffortless and painlessly birthing in baobab trees needs a reality check ;)

It’s a good technique for grounding yourself in stressful situations. Of course be aware of the limitations - a birth that needs serious intervention will have needed it from the beginning and no amount of breathing etc can help. Just see it as one more tool in the box.
