37+2 with DC2. Woke this morning with backache and the odd aching pain at the front.

Had to go to toilet 3 times as upset stomach. This is what's confusing me as I get a pain in my stomach and then have to go. So not sure if contractions or upset stomach.

I'm also ridiculously mardy and keep crying st everything. I'm trying not to but I keep snapping st DS for no reason and then bursting into tears. He can sense something isn't right as keeps cuddling me.

I know this is an Internet forum and people can't tell me for definite but does anything sound familiar? With DS I just knew it was labour but I'm so unsure with this one.

It's so difficult to tell, unfortunately :(

I had a lot of loose poos in the few days before I went into labour and a lot of moderately painful (yet sporadic) Braxton Hicks.

It was only on the day that I went into labour that my BHs became more frequent (not really painful yet, more like light period pains) and I just knew.

Best of luck! Thanks

Ps, only push when they tell you to! Wink

Thanks Cat. I've had 'contractions' on and off all day but they've ramped up in the past hour so I think this is it!

Any news?

GrumpySausage · 04/06/2018 16:05

Hi Venus, no news 😞 Went to bed fully expecting midnight dash to hospital, bags in car at the ready but woke up at 5am with less pains then before. I've had them on and off in my back all day but never got too bad.

Got midwife Thursday so if no change will discuss it then.

My two were both back to back and I had lots of aches etc in my back. I also kept having to go to the loo. Good luck!

I was 2 cm dilated and having small contractions for a week. Every pain I was ready to make my move to the hospital lol
Good luck!

Still no progress! In fact felt less likely to have baby today than ever. Told my parents and husband to stand down. Which of course means I'll go into labour middle of the night Grin

Have seen midwife and was told baby is breech. Scan yesterday confirmed it. Has anyone else experienced being told baby is breech at this late stage and it's then turned?

I'm sure baby has been breech for some fine as I have had a lot of pressure and a lump under my ribs for 6-8 weeks. Scan confirmed this was its head.

I have to wait until Monday to see if they can book me in for an ECV but have been told unlikely as very limited slots. I have then been given the option of a c section.

Feeling very bewildered at the moment as no one has really sat down to talk to me about my options or given advice. The limited info I was given was given rushed in a hospital reception. Sad
