Sorry if this is a bit long.....I just wondered if anyone has had a hematoma before and how did it drain away?

I'm 14 days post section and had it since day 5 at least.....the Dr said it will absorb back in to my body.

I've read online and 99% of ppls has drained out thru their wound but my wound is completely sealed!! I have been losing blood vaginally every now and again....some days nothing tho. Is this normal? Is that another way for the hematoma to drain?

I'm not in any excruciating pain or feeling unwell. I keep feeling hot and cold but I check my temp and it's perfect so I suspect that's anxiety as I'm panicking myself so any help and advise would be appreciated

A completely healed wound will often open up a tiny amount by itself to let the haematoma drain. It depends how close (and big) the collection is to the incision. It equally might just go hard and slowly resorb without draining also. It can’t escape vaginally.

Had one after my first. It didn't really change until I went to see a really great physio for diastasis recti at about 6 weeks I think. She showed me how to (gently) massage it and recommended I do this every time I took a shower. It disappeared within a couple of days after that.
