39 weeks today and i think something is finally happening! I woke 4 times early morning with what defo felt like contractions but was able to go back to sleep.
Up from 6.30am with another plus needed to go to the toilet. Still getting these and they are unmistakably contractions though they feel so weird cause the pain seems to be all really low down in my pelvis and my back is aching!
Im so bloody excited! I really hope this is the start for me and not just a little practice run! Lol.
Anyone else ready to go?

Oh how exciting! I’m only 37+2 and dd1 was late so expecting a while yet. Good luck!

Hurrah! Is it your first? Is the baby head-down, back-to-front?

teaping · 17/05/2018 08:34

Good luck @ThreeAfter30! 38 weeks here and cannot wait for this to happen to me! Wishing you all the best

MrsMozart · 17/05/2018 08:37

Thanks girlies!!
Hedgehog this is my third, ds was born 39+3 and dd was born 40+3. This lo was breech up til last week, obstetrician said her head was well engaged but i dont know if shes b2f or b2b but ive a feeling shes b2b as these contractions seem to be all in my pelvis and back and are similar to what i had with ds labour.
Still noy regular but still coming yayyy

Hope it's all going (or has gone) well, and Number 3 is well on their way.

ThreeAfter30 · 17/05/2018 13:22

Thank you @SiolGhoraidh. Irregular contractions all day ranging from 6 to 16 mins apart but im just glad that things have been kickstarted. Going to collect dd from school shortly and have a walk round asda with dp so hopefully the walking helps. Excitement is hanging out of me lol

Hi ladies, just wanted to update you all. It was indeed the start of labour for me. Our beautiful baby girl was born on the 19th of may after a very long and very painful labour, even though id been having contractions for almost 48 hours i didnt dilate very quickly due to scar tissue on my cervix but we got there eventually. Baby Harper was born beautiful and healthy and i had a great birth in the end, no stitches or tears thankfully. 12 days on and we are still getting used to the craziness that is life with a newborn but wouldnt change it for the world Smile
