Hi,
Just looking for some advice from anyone that has experienced similar. I am 40+5 weeks and baby's head is completely free (second baby). My midwife has said if the head is still free at 41 weeks she can't perform a membrane sweep due to the risk of cord prolapse which I completely understand. If this is the case I will be booked in for an induction at 40+12, she said I can go for daily monitoring instead but obviously there are risks involved in that. I really would like to avoid induction. If I use evening primrose oil vaginally and nipple stimulation which can help soften cervix do these have the same risk of cord prolapse if I go in to labour before baby's head is engaged?
Thanks
