Sweep and now reduced movement 40+5

I had a sweep yesterday at around 3 and ever since I've had reduced movement, woke up this morning and haven't felt anything yet, should I be concerned or does this mean impending labour?

Go and get checked. Any reduced movement needs to be monitored.

drinkyourmilk · 27/04/2018 09:01

You need to get checked

12PurpleSnails · 27/04/2018 09:01

Any reduced movement should be checked out

Phone Triage and go in. Now.

RatRolyPoly · 27/04/2018 09:02

Hop in the car and get yourself to maternity triage - you may as well get straight there, no sense at all in waiting. Call them on the way so they're expecting you :)

BabloHoney · 27/04/2018 09:02

Go in ASAP! I had reduced movement and it turned out the placenta was failing and I needed an emergency c section.. not to scare you but so important to get reduced movement checked right away xx

RatRolyPoly · 27/04/2018 09:03

Now.

Seconded.

Always go and get checked when you are worried or have noticed a change like this. Every one of the lovely midwives who have ever looked after me would prefer 100 women went to be checked when all was well than for 1 not to go when help was needed.

kikibo · 27/04/2018 09:06

When I was overdue a colleague of my husband said that her midwife mother used to say that just before labour babies tend to rest for the ordeal to come. True as well, if I remember rightly.

I would still get checked but I wouldn't be too concerned.

MrsHopity · 27/04/2018 09:13

@kikbo that is no longer the advice.

Any reduces movements or movements out of pattern need checking ASAP

Figmentofimagination · 27/04/2018 09:15

Please go get checked

kikibo · 27/04/2018 09:33

@MrsHopity

It still is the overall opinion in Germany where I am. Can't say maternity care is sh*te here either. Far from in fact.

Also movements tend to decrease because there is not much room left.

I did say go and checked but I still wouldn't get stressed about it.

@sparklingfairy1234

Attached is the current nhs guidelines.
